Beat Tapes, The Magic Behind The Beat
You ever hear a song, like "Damn that hoe smash"? It's usually not the artist who makes the beat, it's the producer. We are at the head of a new trend, 'Beat Tapes', easy to listen to and you can even add your personal flava if you're really diggin' it. The beautiful thing about Beat Tapes is, you are not bound by language, so you can listen to it on a road trip, when you're studying, and they're the best when you're in the house kickin' it, and don't wanna hear words, just dope ass sound. They also tend to make smoke sessions, allot more creative if you're an artist like myself. The mastery of this Beat Tape Era is that music knows no boundaries, and has no beef, it's our universal language as a human species. You know what sounds good to you, it's aligned with our chakra. When you listen to these modern Beat Tapes, you are embraced by a different artist you rarely see, but always hear, the producer. The producer masters different sounds we hear on a day to day basis, and make them hits. Before Kanye was a rapper, he was scouting beats, you wouldn't believe how many 'Ye beats you've heard, and didn't know it was him. As a producer you are able to be as free as you choose because no one see's you. As an artist that is admirable, because you always fight with yourself on what your best work is. AltoonC is a producer with stupid bars, but he sticks to the script, but that's why he is as successful as he is, he does both. When being a producer you have to have a writer in your head giving you the words to correlate with your sound. Toon also, is taking his beats and ADDING visual's. RIGHT! Producer's have music video's! They are an artistic expression's of what the beat is saying through the eyes of the producer. Beat Tapes are mysterious, but they set an ambiance, and add background music to your story line.
